About Our Adoption Specialists
Behind every home study is a real person who is walking this journey with you.
Our specialists are licensed home study providers with extensive experience in adoption. But just as importantly, they are people who understand how emotional and meaningful this process can be.
Each specialist brings their own perspective and strengths, but they all share a common goal: helping you feel prepared, supported, and confident as you move forward.
Rory Hall, LCPAA
Rory Hall has worked in adoption since 2001. She started out working with expectant parents doing options counseling and adoption planning. After three years, Rory began working with waiting families providing education about open adoption and guiding them though the process.
She holds a Master’s in Counseling from St. Edward’s University and is a Licensed Child Placing Agency Administrator. She is also a former chairman for the Central Texas Perinatal Coalition.
Alicia Ports, LMSW
Alicia completes pre-adoptive home studies for prospective adoptive parents as well as conducting post-placement adoption supervision. She has a passion for working in the adoption field after previously working with former foster youth and going through the private adoption process with her daughter.
Alicia graduated from Texas State University with both her Bachelor’s and Master’s and is a true Bobcat! She loves anything in the craft realm and is always making a new project, including repurposing old furniture.
Cinthia Cortez
Cinthia Cortez has 10+ years in the field of social work, helping to drive change in the world. In addition to being a bilingual expectant parent counselor, she provides home study and post-placement services in the Houston area.
Cinthia has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
